The Duff & Phelps Institute is pleased to announce that Alan Brill, Senior Managing Director in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, a division of Duff & Phelps, and Carla Nunes, Managing Director and Head of the Valuation Digital Solutions group at Duff & Phelps, have been named Duff & Phelps Institute Fellows.
The Institute was founded in 2019 on the belief that good governance is a stable and reliable pillar, supporting sensible and effective decision making. The Institute provides thought leadership on issues related to fairness, integrity, ethics, transparency and good global citizenship—with the goal of sustaining equitable markets, responsible business decisions and sound public policy.
Alan founded Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice and has worked with law firms, governments and corporations on cyber security incidents and digital security for over 40 years. His engagements range from large-scale reviews of information security and cyber incidents for multibillion-dollar corporations to criminal investigations of computer intrusions. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University School of Law.
Carla is a leading expert on a variety of valuation, financial reporting and tax issues. She is an author of numerous cost of capital and goodwill impairment publications and advises on a mixture of complex cross-border valuation issues, including purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax restructuring and debt analysis.
